Aah.... the word "humanity". In the first Angel episode, Doyle insisted that Angel would should be more like human, to have a connection with humans. Look at Oxford dict, says humanity is about characters of human not animal/human thoughts of being humans. IMO, the day this male vamp got back his soul, he was already 'humanized'. He had the emotional feelings and the rational thinkings of the human he used to be b4 he was killed. All he needed was to control his demon nature & used it to his advantages.
Not that I'm against Cordy with Angel, but Angel should have gotten his connections from other human peoples (ie bonding with Wesley, Gunn, Virginia, Lindsey, Lilah(he,he,he), Kate, Bethany, Faith, Xander, Spike. He should learn to fall, rise up, fall again, rise up again, say "yes", say "no", fall, rise. Everyone (including u & I, at least me) wrestles with the word "humanity", but i do know that mixing with 1,2,3 friends doesn't really make you connected to humans.

This I agree. True happiness is really overrated. I am not going to disect the wrd "true happiness".

But I am against something...Angel should not look down/condemn at his demon connections. As I said, he had the best of 2 worlds. Yet, when Darla came back, everyone (well almost everybody) b4 episode "Lullaby" cried "Angel! Off with her head"/ "Stake the ground witch", without even reasoning her heart motives. It's just like a young wild man allowing his new found civilization friends to hunt the very wolves that had found him & raised him up in the jungle life. To me frankly, the very reason that Angel refused to acknowledge that he (the human souled vampire) would ever fall with a demon (Darla), regardless to the fact that he was a demon, and that the very same demon (Darla) had sacrificed a lot for him. He just want something higher/ or as equivalent with him (ie a human girlfriend--be it Buffy/Cordy) as he was very CAPABLE of loving a human girl.

It is easy for me to condemn, perhaps I might do the same thing if I were in Angel shoes.
