The human was silent through this watching, his mind racing as usual. He wondered upon the fate of the foals, Karloo, and the controversial Jeshia. Too many hurts and wrongs, too many lies but that was life.

Unstrapping his sword, he took a swipe at the sweet grasses that grew in the meadow. Gathering the mixture of clover and bluegrass, he walked quietly between the unicorns with his armload. Kneeling beside Epona, the fond filly he remembered all too well, her bravery had saved Astronomer, he laid the grass before her with a light pat to her neck.

Going back to the river, he stripped off his shirt and tore it to shreds taking the pieces and wetting them. He wandered back over to the group and settled down beside his friend gently cleaning her wounds as he sang quietly in his native tongue. Whilst doing this, he kept stroking Epona's mane trying to soothe her. The french words a very old song, his mother had written actually.
