Subject: episode & ode 2

Yes, I know this is cheesy and all of that, but I just wanted to get it done. It needs a lot of work, but here it is:

Episode 2

Princess Elizabeth enters, sees note on floor, picks up and reads.
Princess. (gasp) A love note. From Megan. Who�s Megan? Wait, I think I�ve seen her before. I remember now. It was at the dance. How could Andrew do something like this to me? There has to be something I can do to win him back. Maybe, maybe I�ll have to eliminate Megan. An accident, Megan will be injured and have to go back to wherever it was she came from. Then Prince Andrew will realize that I am the only one for him.

Enter Oracle, walks up behind Princess.
Oracle. Hello, child.

Princess jumps, startled.
Princess. What do you want? Oh, it is only you. I haven�t seen you for a few months. Why didn�t you come to the last dance?

Oracle. I am old and tired. I don�t like to go out as much as I used to, and I wouldn�t have come today, but since I love you as much as if you were one of my own children, I felt the pressing need to warn you. Your jealousy clouds your judgment and will cause you much regret.

Princess. You can see many things, but here you are wrong. I am not jealous, only angry. Angry that the Prince would betray me, but him I can forgive. It is Megan who was most at fault. She thinks herself good enough for a prince, better than me. For that very thought she will pay.

Oracle. You say that Prince Andrew you can forgive. You still care about him, then.

Princess. Of course. It is not his fault that some country girl threw herself at him. He wouldn�t hurt me on purpose.

Oracle. Well then, I will tell you of the future. Perhaps it will help prepare you fro what is to come. Would you like to hear it?

Princess. You have yet to be proved wrong. Tell me what it is you know.

Oracle. Your actions will lead to the Prince�s death. You behavior is not what put this chain of events into action, but you are the one who will continue it. Beware once more of your jealousy, for your jealousy is what will bring you down.

Princess. No! That�s not true. What you say has to be wrong. I would never harm the Prince, much less do something that would lead to his death. That you would think me capable of such a thing�how could you? You were like a grandmother to me, but not any more. Leave, now. I will hear no more.

Oracle. I had hoped that you would listen, but it was not meant to be. Goodbye, my child.
Oracle exits.

Princess. I must find Megan. She has this (waves note in air) to answer for.
Princess walks out, comes upon Prince and Megan. Gasp. Episode over.

Ode 2

As the events continue to unfold,
disaster can be the only result.
The oracle has yet to speak a lie,
for she knows all that the gods have predestined to be.

Jealousy will lead to many horrible things.
Not only will its effects be felt by those closest to it,
but the entire kingdom will be brought down.
We have much to fear.

Perhaps the class boundaries should be broken after all.
Princess Elizabeth can see nothing but jealousy,
but were Megan to become Queen,
perhaps good things would come of it.

We can do nothing besides listen and watch,
for we are like actors on a stage.
The gods have determined our roles,
and we have no choice but to play them.
