I to think Varnie wuz robbed. Varnie and CAL POLY are the "Rodney Dangerfields" of the Big West......NO RESPECT! Like Fullove, Varnie had problems with injuries, during the year but still managed to dominate the conference in three categories. CAL POLY's win/loss record directly corresponds with his presence in the game, and he led CAL POLY to far exceed expectations of many of us fans and obviously the coaches of the BW.

I also agree that Williams only did what was expected with his team, based on the preseason ranking by his peers. Perry and Bromely on the other hand far exceeded their expectations. If Williiams had not finished in the top two or three would he have been crowned the best "squanderer of talent"? Heaven help Fullove if Varnie gets to face him again in the playoffs. Big "V" will be looking to swat his shot into the stands.
