At some point your top dogs have to perform. Football and Basketball have not gotten the job done. Poly should be in it's niche for I-AA football. We are the best I-AA University on the west coast. With UOP, Santa Clara, Northridge, UCSB, LBSU, Foolerton, and the whole NCAC (except Davis) dropping football we should get every good qualifying non IA player in the state. This has not been the case. Uncle Larry got knocked for bringing in a bunch of fat asses, but it turned out that some of these guys were pretty darn good. Ellerson's two recruiting classes (1.25 as of right now) have been nothing stellar. Add to this the fact that rival number 1 will now be in our conference and have 63 scholarships for football and there could be problems ahead.
