I am glad to find out that I am not the only person who now discovers herself analyzing her church before/after mass. LoL...the church I attend seems to be a combo of both too with its large windows that cover the two side walls, rose window, and vaulted ceiling. However, it also has areas where the windows are small, has no buttresses, and doesn't have any sort of choir or side rows (maybe called transepts...I haven't studied that part of architecture yet). I don't know...interesting to think about...but weird to see how modern times has combined the two.
