Subject: Botticelli and daVinci

DaVinci and Botticlelli have two different yet similar styles of art. I enjoy Botticelli over daVinci just for the fact that Botticelli uses more brilliant colors and his paintings have so many different ideas. DaVinci's paintings come off as almost morbid and depressing. The two however always keep their main focus on a women most the time the Virgin Mary or Venus. The two also center around the number twelve. Botticelli also added a little comedy to the Adoration of the Magi by adding himself and some members of the Medici family to the picture. I think that is actually why I enjoy Botticelli's work is because his pictures are not as serious as daVinci's work.
