Finding the new piece of art mad me anactive learner instead of a passive one becasue it forced me to go out and look for something that I found interesting. By doing so it opened me up to an aspect of the artist that I hadn't seen before. The reason why this type of work isn't passive is becasue the information wasn't handed to me I had to actually work to find it.
