Subject: Rick and Ilsa

As the movie progresses, I find the development of the relationship and all the particulars surrounding it to be quite interesting. I definitely feel sorry for both of them for being very much in love with each other yet unable to be together. I can't even fault Ilsa for their passion in Paris, seeing as she thought her husband dead at the time.

The only thing that bothers me is Ilsa's dishonesty with Rick when she is supposed to meet him at the train station in Paris. I mean, she didn't do anything wrong by loving Rick when she thought her husband dead. And if she loved Rick that much, like it appears thus far in the film, then wouldn't she have told him to avoid hurting his feelings more than they already would understandably be hurt?

And I think that my disdain for Ilsa can be further elaborated after we watch the end of the film, so that I don't ruin the end for anyone. Does anyone feel the same way about this?
