Subject: 20th century art

i would have to say that my favorite style of art during the 20th century is surrealism. i also enjoy expressionism, cubism and futurism, though neither surpass surrealism. i like more of the paintings from the 20th century period then i do from any of the previous periods. it shows a good change in the way an object is portrayed. to be able to paint things like The Eternal Herod by Mariu Suarez, require more than just some forced education. of course there are a few paintings that even i could do and those colorful things shouldn't really be considered great works of art.
