2001 WINTER FUNTIME EVENTS

The ICU Alumni Club of Southern California is pleased to announce the following winter events open to all alumni, students, faculty and friends of ICU:

1. Saturday, November 10, 2001, 11:00 a.m. High-Handicappers Invitational Golf Tournament at Anaheim Hills Golf Course $75. All slots have been filled. Thank you for your support. Let me know if you or a friend would like to be on the “waiting list” in the event of cancellations.

2. Saturday, December 8, 2001, 11:30 a.m. Tour of the J. Paul Getty Museum
Please join us for a tour of the spectacular J. Paul Getty Museum. This will be a great opportunity for those who have yet to see the “new” Getty Museum to finally see it for yourself and also a nice chance for returning visitors to take advantage of a private tour that has been arranged for our Club courtesy of new member and friend of ICU, Emily Tani of the Getty Foundation. We will gather for lunch at “The Cafe,” a self-serve cafeteria style dining area in the museum complex around 11:30 a.m. and will join in the private tour at 1:00 p.m. Please invite your family (naturally, children are welcome), as well as friends, who are also more than welcome to join us. The participation fee is $5 per adult and children are free. This includes parking, museum admission and the tour. Food is not included. This will be the last event of the year, so please try to join us if you can. Please respond as soon as possible to Sr. Kanji, Steve Yamaguchi (OYR ’84-’85) by telephone at (213) 740-9062 or by email at syamaguc@usc.edu, so parking reservations can be set.

The Getty Museum is located on Getty Center Drive off the 405 Freeway. For information, please contact me or visit the Getty Museum website at http://www.getty.edu/visit/ or call the Museum at (310) 440-7300.

Thank you all for your support of Club events and ICU throughout the year. Look for announcements on more events next year. Please feel free to contact me if you have any suggestions and especially if you are willing to volunteer to plan and organize an event. Don’t be shy.

You can write Japanese, but Steve san does not have Japanese Fonts in his computer. I would use Katakana. Konna hu ni kaitene.
