Goes to Flirt's stall, one she had already taken a liking to. Clucks to her and the mare turned her head, ears pricked. Smiled and went into the tack room and came back with her halter. Seeing it, Flirt rushed to the door, eager to be taken out. Katie smiles and open the door just a little bit, enough to fit the mare's head through. Flirt poked out her head and pushed Katie playfully with her muzzle. Katie laughed softly and slipped the halter over the mare's head, opened the door the rest of the way with a firm grip on the halter, because the mare came charging out. Katie tied her in the crossties and went into the tack room with her grooming supplies. As she started to work,Flirt nudged her pocket and nickered. Katie laughed. "Can't keep anything from you, can I girl?" Fed her a carrot and the mare crunched in happily. Soon Flirt nudged her pocket again, wanting more. "Oh no, you don't. There has to be some for the other mares,too. Oh, alright" Gave her a small piece of carrot that disappeared instantly."That's all for now" Patted the mare's side and swept away the dirt from her coat with the dandy brush happily, glad she got the chance to be around horses. The mare stood amazingly calm the rest of the while and she even got a comb through her mane. Sprayed the mare with the fly spray, then threw a light sheet over her. Slipped on the fly mask and unhooked the mare from the crossties. The mare tossed her head and whinnied happily, glad she was gonig out. Katie led her out to the paddock and watched a minute as she sprinted around happily. She was brought back to consious when another mare she liked whinnied. "Gwena" She smiled and walked back into the barn to finish her work.The mare was waiting for her, nickering. She patted Gwena's muzzle and fed her a piece of juicy apple,that she munched gladly. "I'll be with you in a sec, k?" She gave Gwena one last pat and started to clean out Flirts' stall
