I hope I'm wrong.

Noble - as many, including Wiz, have intimated - is a player on our list that offers something no one else on the playing list has yet shown a propensity to do as well at.

That is run-and-carry to break the lines, using footspeed to get us out of trouble, offer up a linking option in chains of ball movement, and gaining significant meterage in games.

His 2024 form also showed a marked improvement in his one-on-one game as well as in the ability to contest aerially in an improvement over prior seasons.

By losing him, we will forego all of the above attributes and, in this regard, he is a valuable cog in our onfield structure.

However, I don't think he is a player that screams "high pick/cost" in terms of trade value. He is a role player and performs his role to a fairly even standard most games - a "reliable cog".

I am sort of anticipating that what we get for him may be valuable in terms of offering us some additional leverage in this upcoming draft, but it might also be somewhat less than what Noble is worth to us in terms of what he brings.

I hope I am wrong.
