Subject: COLLINGWOOD 45 UPDATE:

Thought after renaming the VFL sqaud thr Chargers I would designate the senior team as the Woods. Made a couple of key positional changes to reflect my current thoughts about the rightful starting 22. Have made a few comments on each line.


WOODS:
FB: Maynard Moore Quaynor
HB: Houston Howe Perryman

Houston a top line player, Perryman a good player, starting this season with a much stronger back six IMO.

R: Cameron Pendlebury N.Daicos
C: J.Daicos DeGoey Lipinski

Every player in the starting six midfield is a deadly kick. Especially Cameron for his size. This is the A team IMO. Pendlebury is the goat, DeGoey is our beast, Nick and Josh, and pretty boy gets a wing this year just ahead of Rusty who is getting closer to, well, rusty.

HF: McCreery McStay Shultz
FF: Elliot Mihocek Hill

Obvious choices here. Would be great to see all fit and firing together for a whole season ;)

INT:
Crisp
Sidebottom
Membrey
Hyphen

Self explanatory, Crisp all bar the field kicking would be a walk up for mid, is a perfectly good hard working HBF, can pinch a wing, etc. Rusty obviously a good runner can play inside or out or tag etc, Membrey a very good goalkicker and can play back as an undersized, Murphy like defender. Hyphen mister fix it defensive run and marking power.

SUB:
Mitchell

Starts behind the eightball but deserves a shot to start the campaign. Would love to see the whole bench and Pendles, Checkers and Elliot rotated through the sub and rest regime to all be cherry ripe for finals obv.

CHARGERS:
FB: Ryan Frampton Markov
HB: Jiath Dean Parker

Frampton is very useful tall depth IMO. Just has to have a clear role if called on. Excited about the 3 youngsters.

R: Steene Long Sullivan
C: DeMattia Allan Macrae

Macrae to a wing is my big call for 25 :) really want to see him there and half forward rather than full time mid. Allan, Long and Sullivan should be given every opportunity to develop at the coalface.

FF: McInnes Cox Johnson

The three obvious choices for a depth forward, and of course in Cox's case ruck.

INT:
Smit

A few minutes ago we where worried about ruck development? lol.

LTI:
Harrison

Kid looks like he intends to be back as soon as possible, has plenty of talent.

TBA:
Condon
First pick
Second pick
Third pick

Do we find out about Condon before the season actually starts or is it more effectively a 2026 thing? Hoping for key talls in the draft.

2026:
McGuane.

Sounds like he could be a player. Be wonderful to see another father son come through.
