The backline is one big man short. Dean, Frampton or Tomlinson if we pick him up. Perhaps try Reef in this role during the preseason. He is 194 cms tall (about the same height as Dean and taller than Murphy was) and there is a number of failed forwards who have gone back and been great defenders. It is also the easiest position on the field to play as evidenced by the fact that Frampton has done a reasonable job their in the past.
The extra tall would allow Perryman to play in a midfield role which is what he wants to do and what we also need. Obviously injuries will have a bearing on who plays week to week but it would be nice to see Allan given a starting spot in the first half a dozen rounds to see if he can continue on from his final game of last year.
