I was there last night. North went to a new level, and like the saying -- defence wins premierships and they prob went into defence mode in that third quarter, but the first half they were unstoppable.

Probably the worst game Lions have played, but did North make them play that way?
It may not have been a perfect game, but I thought it was good. Not a scoring fest by any means, but the way north played was very impressive.

There are definitely ways for the afl to improve the product, but there is no question that the standard is improving year on year.
They need to do better with the fixturing, aligning it with VFLW again. The coaches should do better too with finding a balance between attack and defence.
