You know, I have been in the No footy on Good Friday camp.
I don't reckon it's necessary to change this tradition and (regardless of your faith or lack thereof) it doesn't hurt to have one "family" day where there is no AFL footy - just a day to spend with your family.
In fact, I know this may seem inconsistent, I actually think having COUNTRY footy and AMATEUR footy on Good Friday but no AFL is a grand idea. Get along to a game ... with your family.
But if the AFL MUST play on Good Friday, perhaps this isn't the worst compromise?
