I lived on Forster Road which ran into Cambridge Road. I lived there from 1961 to 1975 when the houses were demolished. My mother, Minnie Brookes, was born in Cambridge Road in 1921 and lived there until the 1940's. Brookes family occupied the house until my grandparents died in the 1950,s. The house was taken on by my cousin Graham Marshall and that family lived there until the 1970's. My Auntie, Alma Marshall (nee Brookes) lived in the adjacent yard which was in Kent Road. Next door to the Brookes house I think was the Mountain family.
