Subject: All My Boardies, Episode 2x05 - "Warning Signs"

The scene opens in the hospital gardens. There are doctors and nurses rushing everywhere, and there's quite a number of patients standing around, watching. One of the doctors, Veggie, calls out that they've got to get these people to the ER right now, and the crowd slowly parts as two gurneys rush by. As the camera turns back, we see Wolfshrub and Steven S standing there, watching as the doctors take away TomSmeagol and SeaBoy. Wolfshrub, crying, asks Jaymzangel how the baby is, and we see that the baby has also been shot. Jay says that its a close call, and they need to get to the NICU right now. Switch to the ER, where Veggie is leading one of the gurneys into Trauma One. She's calling the shots, until suddenly they hear a crash from Trauma Two. They glance up at the window, and see TomSmeagol, standing, knocking a doctor out of his way as he walks towards the doors seperating the two Trauma rooms. The nurse asks whats going on, and we zoom in on TomSmeagol as the GSW in his chest slowly clears up, soon leaving no trace that he was ever shot. He smirks, as he opens the door into Trauma One.

Up in the NICU, Jay rushes into a theatre alongside a surgeon. Wolfshrub stands outside, watching in tears. A nurse tells her that they're going to do everything to try to save this baby, but given the infant's unstable health to begin with, and the premature status, that odds aren't exactly in their favour. Two security guards rush by, and Wolfshrub overhears them talking about one of the GSW's who has started beating the crap out of the ER. Wolfshrub questioningly watches as they go, then takes one last look into the theatre, before following the guards down to the ER.

Down in the ER, TomSmeagol has smashed up pretty much everything in sight. The lights are flickering on and off, and Veggie lays in the corner of Trauma One, surrounded by blood. SeaBoy lies on the table, still unconcious. TomSmeagol slowly walks up to his bedside, and lays his hand upon his chest. SeaBoy wakes up with a start, coughing and wheezing. He looks up, and sees Tom looking down at him. He tries to get away, but he can't move from under Tom's hand. He asks him what he's doing, and Tom says that it was a nice trick. SeaBoy asks what he's talking about, and he mentions the fact that Wolfram now lives inside Shrub's body. SeaBoy looks confused, and asks how he could possibly know that, and Tom laughs, saying that he has sources. He turns, and takes something off the operating tray. SeaBoy looks scared, and again tries to back away. Tom looks down, and whispers to him, saying that he knew Tom had a mission, and that he and his dead bitch shouldn't have gotten in the way. Just then, a bunch of security guards rush into the room. He whips his head round to look at them, and all the guards go flying back out the doors, which open just in time for Wolfshrub to rush up to the Trauma room. Tom turns back to SeaBoy, kisses him on the forehead, then stabs him with the scalpol. Wolfshrub screams out, and rushes into the Trauma room. She beats at Tom, who easily brushes her off. As she lies, crying in a heap on the floor, Tom twists the scalpol inside SeaBoy, who bucks his body off the gurney. Blood trickles out of his mouth, as Tom lets go of the scalpol, and walks calmly out of the Trauma room, and out of the ER, watched by the cautious guards. As Wolfshrub crawls towards SeaBoy's body, the guards come into the room, and we hear one of them calling out on his radio for more doctors down in the ER.

In a dark room, Dandy wakes up. She looks around, and sees that she's tied to a pillar. She tries to call out, but her mouth is gagged. She turns to the right, and sees ABM in the same position as her. He's watching her, a sad look in his eyes. Dandy tries to speak again, but ABM shakes his head, and she realises that it's pointless to try. Just then, a door opens, and when the light comes in, Dandy realises that she's in a basement. Footsteps come down the stairs, and they see Amber approaching them. She walks up to ABM, and takes off his gag. She looks over at Dandy, and says that she's sorry for doing this. ABM asks her why, and she begins to cry. She says that she never meant for any of this to happen, its just that she panicked. ABM startled her when he told her about the murders, and she didn't know what to do. As she turns away from ABM, crying, he kicks out with his feet, knocking Amber to the ground. He suddenly rushes up, and straddles her, slamming her to the ground. Dandy looks surprised, and Amber whimpers out a question - how did he get untied? ABM says that it wasn't hard, she obviously wasn't concentrating when she tied the knots. He asks her to tell him what happened, and he wants the truth this time. Amber gulps, and says that she'll tell them.

At Gemma's restaurant, she and Salty sit at a table, in silence, drinking a bottle of wine. They keep watching the entrance to the back room. After a few moments, Salty asks if Toothy will even come, and Gemma says that when she called, she made it sound urgent. He'll be here. They sit, and continue watching, until a male voice from behind them asks them if they're expecting anyone important. Gemma whirls around, and sees Toothy standing there. She asks how he got in, and he dangles a set of keys in front of her, until he puts them in his pocket. He walks around, and notices for the first time that Salty is sitting with Gemma. He acts surprised, and asks Salty how she's been. She says that she's been a lot worse, and Toothy mockingly seethes, and comments that that was pretty low, even for her. Salty shrugs, saying that she never expected to see him again, not since Toronto. Gemma turns to Salty, and asks what happened in Toronto, but Salty and Toothy continue to stare each other out. He asks why they called him here, and Gemma says that she wants out. Toothy laughs, and says that she can't. Salty says that she begs to differ. She says that if he doesn't let Gemma out of their agreement, then she'll tell the world about the incident in Marseilles. Gemma picks up a bag, and says that the money is all there. Toothy looks at the bag, and says that that kind of money is child's play to him, he doesn't want or need it. He turns back to Salty, and says that she can't possibly reveal what happened in Marseilles without incriminating herself in the process, and she knows it. He wonders, then, what the point was of this meeting. He gently gasps, and smirks, saying that they shouldn't be so transparent. He opens the bag, and inside is a camera. He takes it out of the bag, and points it at Salty and Gemma. He smiles, then throws it across the restaurant, where it smashes. He tells the women not to be so stupid in the future. He reminds Gemma of his and Simon's ideas for the restaurant, then leaves. After a moment, Gemma sighs, and sits down. Salty sits down with her, saying that it was worth a try. Gemma gulps down the last of the wine, and asks Salty what she's going to do now. She doesn't want to lose her business, but she doesn't want to end up in the service of Toothy. She goes off, leaving Salty at the table, staring at the remains of the camera.

Eurydice walks into her living room, carrying two cups of coffee. She hands one over to Lonely Brit, who is sitting on her couch. LB takes the coffee, and thanks Eury, who says that she's surprised LB asked to see her, seeing as most of her clients have steered well clear since the wedding. LB says that Eury's still her friend, and then asks her how the RJA thing is going. Eury fidgets, and matter-of-factly tells LB that he left her. LB looks pained, but Eury tells her not to worry about it, she's here to tell her what's troubling her. LB gulps, and looks away. She asks Eury if she ever heard about LB's pregnancy. Eury says that she didn't, and is about to congratulate her, when she puts her hand up, telling her not to bother - she lost the baby. Eury comes and sits next to her, holding her, saying that that's awful. She begins to tell LB that losing a baby is a traumatic experience for anyone, and that she shouldn't be ashamed by what she's feeling. LB interrupts her, saying that the loss isn't the problem. She can't help but feel that her relationship with Salty has hit the rocks since she lost the baby, as Salty spends all her time at Gemma's restaurant. Eury comments that as Salty is an interior decorator, it's hardly surprising, when there's a knock at the door. Eury tells LB that she'll be back in a minute, and goes to answer it. When she does, she sees AngelX and Stormy standing there. They barge their way in, saying that they'd like a word.

In the basement, ABM asks Amber if that's the whole truth. Amber looks up at him, telling him that its "nothing but." ABM mulls it over, then asks Amber why she didn't just tell them all this from the outset. Instead, they had to go through all of this, and now Joe Camel might have enough proof of Amber's involvement to go to the police. Amber begins to fret, saying that ABM promised, he shouldn't let it get that far, and she begins to sob, as ABM takes her in his arms. He comforts her, when behind him he hears a muffled scream. He turns, and remembers that Dandy is still tied up and gagged. He rushes over, and unties her. Dandy stands up, taking the gag off, and comes over to Amber. She asks her if she's got this straight - The professor walked in on Amber and her husband, Amber killed the professor by accident, and when the husband went to call the cops, she killed him too. And then she fled town, and got herself and ABM involved, eventually kidnapping them so that they wouldn't tell. After a moment's silence, Amber nods meekly. Dandy huffs, then slaps Amber. ABM goes to hold her back, and Amber just takes it, and then says that she deserved it. Dandy smiles, and says that as long as they're even. Just then, a door upstairs slams shut, and the three of them look at each other, with ABM voicing their thought - Morgain. They rush up the stairs, and exit the basement to see Morgain slumped against the door, smiling with her eyes closed. They ask her where she's been, and she opens her eyes, and lethargically gets up to greet them, still smiling. She says she had the wildest time, and hugs each and every one of them. Dandy has an awkward look on her face, and throws a "wha the huh?" look at ABM. He shrugs. Morgain says she really needs some food, and wanders towards the kitchen. The others watch her go, then ABM turns to Amber. He says that they have to go now, and think this through. Amber, with a desparate tone in her voice, asks him if everything will be OK. He hugs her, and says that they're going to fix it. He and Dandy leave, and when they're outside Dandy confronts ABM, asking him if he's really going to help this crazy bitch. He nods, saying that Amber means a lot to him, and if he can help her, he will. He walks off, with Dandy following him, glaring at his back.

In the hospital, Wolfshrub is sitting in a Exam Two. Jaymzangel comes in, but Wolfshrub doesn't acknowledge her - she just continues looking out the window. Jay comes over, and says that she has some bad news. Wolfshrub whispers that she knows, but Jay continues. She details that SeaBoy's injuries were severe, and the blood loss was too much for them to counteract. The blood supply to his major organs had been all but cut-off, and he was in severe danger of permanent brain damage. She puts her hand on Wolfshrub's shoulder, saying that it was too late for him. Wolfshrub sobs for a moment, then collects herself. She asks about the baby, and Jay sighs, saying that the injuries were again too much for the baby's frail body to handle. She tells Wolfshrub that she'll call AngelX or StormCellar to come get her, and turns to leave. As she reaches the door, she asks if she can see SeaBoy's body. Jay turns, and asks if she's sure thats what she wants. Wolfshrub gulps, and says that she does. Jay thinks about it for a moment, then tells Wolfshrub to come with her. As they walk down the corridor, they pass two security guards who are escorting Steven S out of the hospital. They continue walking, until Wolfshrub hears a voice call out her name. She turns, and sees Veggie stagger up to her. She's wearing a hospital gown, and there's a line of stitches on her neck. She comes up, and hugs a blank Wolfshrub. She whispers that she's sorry, and Wolfshrub tells her that she has nothing to be sorry about. Jay tells Veggie that she should be in bed still, and then tells her that if she doesn't get her ass back in bed she's gonna put her on the Halydrol. Veggie groans, and says that that stuff's only for the real annoying patients who don't stop complaining. Then she gets the point, and shuffles off back to bed. Jay and Wolfshrub contine walking, into an elevator.

In Eury's living room, AngelX and Stormy sit down. LB asks what's going on, and Eury says that she doesn't know herself. AngelX tells her that they need to talk about Shrub, and Eury freezes. She tells LB that maybe she'd better go, and she hussles LB out of the room. In the hallway, LB again asks what's happening, and Eury says that she really doesn't have time to explain. She moves LB out of the door, saying she'll call her to arrange another session. When she goes back into the living room, Stormy has stood up again, and is pacing. Eury closes the living room door, and asks them what they're talking about. AngelX says that Eury knows very well what they're here about, and she throws the photos of Dandy down on the table. Eury asks what they are, and AngelX says that they're photos of Shrub's assassin. Eury breathes a sigh of relief, and asks them what they're doing here if they have photos. Stormy says that they've been informed that Dandy was merely carrying out orders - orders from somebody else. And their source also gave them this address. Eury flicks through the photos, and then looks away from them, saying that this is absurd, she wouldn't have anything to do with a hit on one of her oldest friends. Stormy asks why Eury isn't looking them in the eye, but she doesn't answer. AngelX comes up to Eury, and says that if she's covering for someone, then she needn't worry. They know that this someone has left her, and that if she hands him over, they won't mention her name. Eury continues not to look at them, and after a few moments, AngelX stands. She takes the photos, and tells Stormy that they're leaving. They walk out, and AngelX tells Eury to give her a call if she changes her mind. As soon as the front door shuts, Eury runs up her bedroom. She quickly packs a bag of clothes, and then grabs her car keys, and runs out to her car. She throws the bag in the boot, and then sits in the front seat. Before starting the car, she stares ahead. She tells herself to think, she has to find him. Suddenly, she gets a brainwave, and shouts out "The Gen Board!", just as she starts the car.

At Salty's house, Salty comes in through the front door. She hears the shower is on, and treads upstairs. She knocks on the bathroom door, and LB asks how come she's home so early. Salty says that they really need to talk, and LB switches off the shower, and tells her to come in. Salty does so, closing the door again, and sits down on the toilet. LB pulls the curtain back, grabbing her towel, and steps out of the shower, kissing Salty on the forehead. As she stands in front of the mirror, applying moisturiser, she asks Salty how things are going at Gemma's. Salty says that thats what they need to talk about, and tells LB that something pretty heavy is going on, and that she's sorry she's been so withdrawn about it lately, but it required a lot of her attention. LB stops what she's doing, and squats down so that she's at Salty's eye level. She puts her hand's in Salty's, and says that whatever it is, she'll understand. Salty smiles, and says that she might understand, but she won't believe it.

At AngelX's offices, she and Stormy walk in through the front door, to find Simon standing at reception with Phaedra. He smiles when he sees them, and asks them if their work is going well. AngelX walks off into her office, telling him to come with her. Simon calls out that he doesn't take orders, then turns back to Phaedra, saying that he normally doesn't anyway, but that AngelX is a special case. He walks off into her office, leaving Stormy and Phaedra at the front desk. Stormy asks what Simon was doing here, and Phaedra replies that he was just chatting. Asked a lot of questions about Dandy, but other than that, nothing out of the ordinary. Stormy casts a look off into AngelX's office.

In the office, AngelX sits behind her desk, and Simon sits opposite her. They stare at each other for a few moments, until AngelX asks what he's up to. Simon cocks his head, and says that it should be pretty clear by now. AngelX says that it isn't, and that she wants to know why he's helping them find Shrub's murderer. Simon smirks, saying that they've already found the murderer. AngelX tells him that he knows what she means, and that he shouldn't play games. Simon leans over the desk, saying that AngelX doesn't need to know his reasons, only that he has his goals, and his goals match up with hers, and that it only makes sense to combine their efforts. AngelX leans over to meet his gaze, saying that if he wants to combine their efforts, they should be doing this together, he shouldn't be treating AngelX and Stormy like his lackeys. They continue to glare at each other for a moment, until suddenly they start kissing furiously. AngelX crawls up on her desk, Simon crawling on top of her. They start to rip off each other's clothes, kissing passionately. The camera pans over to AngelX's door, where we see Dandy looking in, watching them.

At the hospital, Wolfshrub and Jay have reached the morgue. Jay asks once again if Wolfshrub is sure about doing this, and she nods. They walk in, and Jay asks the mortician there to give them a few minutes alone with "the newbie". He leaves, and Jay leads Wolfshrub over to a gurney, covered with a sheet. She gently tells Wolfshrub that she'll leave her alone for the moment, but that she'll be outside if she needs her. Jay turns to leave, and walks into the mortician's office. With a blank look on her face, Wolfshrub slowly pulls back the sheet to reveal SeaBoy's head and chest. One of his arms flops out from under the sheet, which causes Wolfshrub to flinch - until she looks down, and takes hold of his exposed hand. She looks down at the body, emotionless - until she breaks down in tears, collapsing over SeaBoy's body.

AngelX continues her steamy affair with Simon, but can she hide it from Stormy for long, especially seeing as Dandy knows about them?

Eurydice catches up with RJA, but with everything that's happened between them, what will happen next?

Salty brings LB aboard Gemma's situation, and the three of them try to get rid of Toothy once and for all...

Morgain finds herself falling deeper into her drug problem - is she beyond help?

I'm going to be out of town for the next two days, and won't be able to post AMB. Sooo.... I was wondering if anyone was able to post tomorrow's episode? If you can, send me an e-mail, and before I shoot off tomorrow, I'll send you the episode, which you can then post at roughly the same time I've been posting them.

But in a good way. I'm disguted but also strangely rivoted.

How much am I loving the character development of AngelX? She's turning out to be very Mimi Rodgers. It's fabulous.

I am hopeful in the ABMverse, no one goes away for very long. My poor Wolfshrub! What will she....errr....he..whatever do. And AnGelX, getting down with one of the suits. Dangerous!

Can't wait to see what happens next.
