And she knew that he spoke of humans but lacked the education to appropriately name them. She could also tell that her touch had been a comfort so she extended it again, brushing his soft ears with her snout. She gave herself a sniffing break and settled her nerves a little which directly relaxed her muscles. She glanced to Gavin to be sure of his presence. He was still standing silent in his vast knowledge. “My young pup, I do not wish you to take leave.” She let her mouth tug ever so slightly into a smile. Judging by his age, solid food shouldn’t be a problem for him. There was no need to mother him. He simply needed a kind heart. “Please, stay with us for as long as you desire. We are honored to have you.” She said the last part for his benefit. To have traveled this far should have make him proud. “If you have no one to claim you, we will.” In the back of her mind she realized that her duel nature might one day bother the pup. But she could save that conversation for a later date…who knew if she could even change without her King Alairic.
