Craig shrugged a dark shoulder, though he'd seen the change in her. "Its the change, the new side of you being born... You become a pup, the lowest of the pack, but only the truly wicked would pick on a new wolf.. Well beyond showing their place in the pack...." He didn't have one of those, though he supposed he was somewhat welcomed in the new Cascade Pack, considering he'd allowed them to settle on his territory. "There's a small pack that's moved into the city. The alpha is a good wolf, and she keeps a tight leash on those under her. She's fare too. I'm sure they would welcome you if you wanted to join. Or you could stay a mutt, even stay out here if you wanted"

It was her life after all. Unlike the wolf who had given him the bite, he was at least giving her the facts. The one who'd given him the bite had simply mauled and fled, likely ruled by his animal nature. He'd never met the man, but he knew his scent. And by god if he ever met that were he'd give the other a good thrashing for his actions.

He huffed as she spoke of mutations, turning the idea over in his head for a moment before casting it aside "No, that would be very unlikely. It would either work and you'd have a human form, or it wouldn't. Normally, the idea of it failing wouldn't bother me, but I imagine if it went truly wrong.... Well I can't imagine it would be a peaceful death" He watched as she stood, as she brushed lightly past him, the tip of her tail brushing his muzzle.

Then she was gone, dashing through the brush towards the distant castle. After a long moment of watching, he rose and gave chase, his long legs eating up the distance between them. He settled in just behind her tail, keeping it just out of reach. He could easily out run her on such open land, but she was likely quicker at maneuvering with her lower center of gravity. And gods knew she would be faster in the thick forests they had just left.

I put the pedal to the metal
as the sun goes down.
Leave everybody sleepin
in this sleepy town, tonight
And at the break of day,
I'll be a runaway!
