Since both John Melvin schools applied to TRACs?
John Melvin Christian in Florida would be a new team countable for next year as well.
South Carolina Central Christian I looked up, and they have TRACs. They also have a football team.

The new USCAA conference for a lot of sports. Some of these schools are applying to the USCAA and mainly 4 year schools.
Apprentice is regional.
John Melvin and John Melvin Christian successfully got their applications accepted.
South Carolina Central Christian I looked them up, and they have ABHE. I think they are a new team for next year as well.
Beacon College is regional, and the school is design to serve the disabled of slow learners.
Central International is regional and TRACs.
Mid-Atlantic Christian is regional and TRACs
Virginia State for some sports, the rest is in D2.
Schools are said to be working on TRACs or regional.
Atlantis University is on the same path as North American University.
Lighthouse Christian in Florida from what I read is trying for TRACs or the other acceptable one that NAIA wants.
Westgate Christian in Texas don't have the right one yet. The three above don't count for any sports.
Southeast Christian no football, is not countable for any sports.
Barber-Scotia College after being booted for losing their accreditation, is clawing their way back to get it right.
I do believe the Georgia Central Christian school is talking about joining as well.

For Lighthouse, ABHE (Association of Biblical History Education) is the other accreditation agency that NAIA accepts. Westgate is NBCA (National Bible College Association) as is John Melvin, but I believe they will apply for TRACS or ABHE. Melvin realized NBCA was not going to help them.
But this development does leave some interesting questions. Apprentice plays football in the independent Seaboard Conference, with Thaddeus Stevens Institute of Technology, Williamson College of the Trades, and New Jersey Warriors, a club team comprising of players from local NJ jucos that do not field a football team. I've been hearing rumors of Apprentice and Williamson possibly leaving, and now it seems Apprentice could be exiting. If Williamson follows suit, then the Seaboard is in trouble.
John Melvin, Lighthouse, and Atlantis play football in the Independent Collegiate Athletic Association (ICAA). ICAA is already on shaky ground, as McDougal Technical Institute dropped out sometime in September and Florida Palms University, ICAA's first national Basketball champion, has shut down. Westgate was expected to join but now that seems unlikely, especially since its track-and-field team is already in New South. If Melvin, Lighthouse and Atlantis move their programs, ICAA is in trouble.
I can't say much about Central international. I could get a 2024 schedule from them, and their athletic staff was no help.
