Hi
I am British and do not know anyone who lives in New York but that doesn't stop my heart from aching at the pain and misery that has been inflicted upon you all. I have a great respect for all men and women who work in the public sector ie: Police, ambulance and firefighters, but seeing what an enormous amount of effort and courage these people in New York have shown since 11th Sept has made me realise just what makes someone a hero and New York is full of them. They have worked tirelessly and without complaint to help those people, many of which are strangers to them, bringing a small thread of hope for those still missing loved ones even though the task is near impossible. I doubt that I myself would have such courage in the face of a disaster this size but I thank God that there are these people who do. I just want you all to know that my thoughts are with you all and with all those who have lost someone close to them. I feel that my words are small and insignificant in the face of things but if I can just make one person over there realise what an effect they have had on me then it is worth it. God bless you all.
