Hi,
I live in the Northeastern U.S. and have two beautiful, healthy avocado plants that are about 6 months old and about 4 and a half feet tall. I grew them in water on toothpicks and potted them in soil/sand mixture after maybe 4 or 5 months. I'm going away for about 5 days and need to figure a way for them to get watered while I'm away. I usually water them every 2 or 3 days depending on how dry the soil gets. Is there any type of automatic watering apparatus that I can build or buy to take care of the plants while I'm away?
Im from Perth, Western Australia, its probably too late for you now but i recently came in contact with an inventor who has developed a self watering device and sells them for as little as $6! Ive got one and it works great
