I must admit I have never asked myself any of these questions and many UU students take it for granted that the UNiversity of Ulster is situated within the heart of Loyalist South / East Antrim so we must be careful. I have never thought about somebody or someone being responsible for my safety in such a dangerous location.

The University have an officer who calls out to warn you that you will or could be thrown out of university for making noise but this woman has never spoke to any student about the UDA attacks against students in Belfast, Jordanstown, Monkstown or greenisland etc... They are hypocrites.


Good on Sinn Fein for highlighting this matter and shame on the SDLP for not highlighting students' safety.
