Sugar Icing
1 tablespoon butter, at room temperature
1 cup powdered sugar
2 to 3 tablespoons milk
Mix butter, sugar and enough milk to make a smooth mixture thick enough to spread.

Glaze
1-1/4 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
Place all ingredients in medium bowl; stir with spoon until smooth.

White Glaze -
2 cups sugar
¾ cup hot water
1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar
3 cups powdered sugar
Boil sugar, water and cream of tartar in a heavy saucepan until the syrup threads. Cool to a temperature just above lukewarm. Add sifted powdered sugar and beat until the right consistency for spreading thinly.

ICING GLAZE FOR DOUGHNUTS

1 cup White Sugar; 1 tsp. Butter; 1/4 cup Milk

Boil together for 5 minutes and then cool.

Add: Pinch Salt; 1/2 tsp. Vanilla; 1/2 cup Icing Sugar. Mix well.
