Subject: GVt's and Gene Pool Options

I have been watching my 5 GVt's carefully, as it is nearing the breeding season, and I'm not sure of the advisability of allowing Mike to cover his daughters, or Atom his sisters or mother. Both Mike and Atom are looking good, as far as scrotal descent is concerned, and there is always the mock breeding hold among my friends, which I consider play, much like puppies, or even adult neutered dogs and bitches, will do. Both Mini and her daughters will greet the boys with nose touches, and when the boys progress to a mounting posture, the girls either just jump away, or sometime allow the boys to try an arm around, before either turning and playfully nipping, or jumping away. Occasionally, one of the boys will actually manage a mount, but the girls just pull them for a few inches, loosening their hold, and jumping ways. This is clearly play, but our fertile period is rapidly approaching, and my ? regards gene pool studies. Are you aware of any studies on either the wild GVt or domestic GTv pool structure. Once gone from the nest, one assumes the brood doesn't need to move to a different state. How often to kin breed, and are there any serious complications, not on the extreme ends of the spectrum, but as a rule? Many studies indicate that line breeding in humans is more taboo for social reasons, than genetics. Choosing mates outside one's immediate family not only reduced the possibility of genetic abnormalities gaining a stronghold, but increased both families' resources. This was true with the Neanderthals as well as the Tudors, so to speak! (Or perhaps I might say, Romanov's (please pardon the spelling...) The genetic "idiot" or "hemophiliac" is not actually common among line-bred humans. But the exception always makes the news, so to speak. Please advise. TYVM!
