Yes, this is not uncommon. Stress, the male, other females
trying to steal babies, too small of cage, not enough nest
boxes, can all be causes. I had a single baby disappear
last week. Just trying to peek at babies too often can
stress mommas enogh to kill the babies. It is best to
have a seperate cage to move momma and babies, nest box
and all, when there are babies born. I have an unused bed
room that I use for a maternity ward.
