Yes, at school this is what you are allowed.

You could also suggest that your client is allowed to use a laptop rather than handwritten notes if he finds this easier. It depends on how much he struggles with hand writing and spellings.

Personally i would not tell people who havnt employed me that i am dsylexic. Sounds harsh but would want to wait until i have got the job. Unless this will be very obvious from his exam.
