I'm a little surprised at some of the thoughts recently posted. I guess all bands face a time where they change directions and then have to face the problem with some fans not liking that. It might just be me, but I think everyone's taste changes somewhat over time. I know I'm not listening or playing the same kind of music that I was into 3 or 4 years ago. Inevitably as you grow as a person, your tastes will change with that. Music is particular to this, because for most people the music and bands they enjoy have a connection to them. Whether it be lyrical, style, or whatever else moves you.
I have toughly enjoyed following Candid for the past 4 years, and I'd have to say if they stayed in the same place as they were in Soma Project, I can't say I'd still be going to every show I could. The growth and maturity that has developed is remarkable, and honestly I think they've done a better job at it then most big name "rockstars". I’m not an easy person to win over when it comes to music, and the fact that every album Candid as put out has left me floored. The compositions are amazing, and the lyrics are genius. I look forward to each new album because I know it's not going to be the same.
As far as the shows go, there have been very few times I’ve been disappointed. The best shows are the ones where the guys are having fun with it, and loving what they are playing. It’s not the dancing, or the covers (although the choice covers have been really cool) it’s the infectious emotion that comes from the songs. I think the only way for Candid to ever put on a good show, is if they love each song on that set list; the rest will follow.

So in conclusion. You guys are doing amazing and I hope you never stop, cause it would be a sad cold day in hell.
