^Kiyia ignores the pain for a few minutes, but it becomes too much for her. She stands and wobbles to a place under a tree. She lays there, and wave upon wave of pain rushes through her body. She lays her head down, for it helps. But she yelps many-a-time before the blood comes. Much blood comes and puddles the ground beneath her. She shakes and shivers, but knows it will be okay, for this is a good thing that is happening to her now^
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Later~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

^An exhausted Kiyia licks five collie pups clean and they all cuddle up next to her. She licks them all, and watches them nurse. She has given birth to her first litter. They bark and yelp to eat, and she smiles, even though she is remarkable tired. She lays her head down, still watching them^

*She smiles at the little bundles of fur curled up next to their mother. They remind her of her own, but she quickly shoves that thought out of her mind. She looks down at Star, and her eyes begin to shine with tears. She lays in front of them all, willing to guard the pups and their mother* They're beautiful Kiyia.

_-_He growls her out of the way. He runs next to Kiyia, smiling_-_ Kiyia, are you alright? _-_He takes his place in front of them all, facing Kiyia and watching the pups. He smiles and his eyes seem to beam with happiness_-_ They even look like you! _-_He looks at A Shimmering Tear_-_ She looks like Lassie...The pup we adopted. I wonder where she is now.

I think we should be asking you that. We live here and, as far as I know, you don't. *She stands taller and stronger than her. Her blue eyes seem to send waves of chills through the collie who stands before her* So, you tell me, who are you?

~In an attempt to keep them from starting a fight, the 14 year-old shoves Gunner and Bridget out of the way of her collies. She leans down next to Kiyia and touches each of the puppies to make sure they are okay. She sets them all back down next to their mother and pats Kiyia's head softly~ Good girl....Good girl... ~Then she smiles and wraps her arms around Ikia's neck~ I missed you guys while I was away and I'm so glad to see you again! ~She hugs him tight, afraid to let go. She eventually does, and brings a blanket out of a bag she is carrying. She lays it on the ground, away from the mess of blood, and carefully picks each of the five pups up and sets them on the blanket, allowing Kiyia to move herself. She sets Kiyia's new collar on her, and sets Ikia's on him. She smiles, glad that they are finally together again~ Did you miss each other?

Before the girl touches him, he moves. He wasn't going to start a fight, why would he. He was only curious about the newcomers, and can't dogs welcome other dogs to their home. With another tip of the head, he lopes off to get something to eat.
