I'm not 100% but I think the gentleman on the very bottom on your list John Rowbottom 1879 is my great grandfather. I know that he married at an older age and that he had lots of sisters. I also know he had relatives that moved to Australia. We are Rowbottoms and still live in Bushey Herts and it's a rare name in this area.
So if he is my ancestor this document has been very useful thankyou!

I found you on a internet list asking for information on Rowbottoms
I recently received some family papers showing some Rowbottom history that you may be interested in knowing about.
First showes the 1823 Baptism of William Joseph Rowbotham son of Martha.Born in Bushey, Hertfordshire.Born 11 Feb. 1823
Second is a marriage in 1848 of William Rowbottom a sawyer in Bushey, father is Joseph Rowbottom (name now Rowbottom not Rowbotham) also a sawyer.
Married to Susan Fenson of Bushey, father is William Fenson a Labourer
Witnesed by Samual Rowbottom and Eliza Rowbottom. (Both signatures are an X his mark and her mark) Filled out by Geo Palmer who propably wrote the name Rowbottom not Rowbotham as no one else could write.
Next that I have is a Baptism of Anatole, child of William and Susan Rowbottom in 1852 living in San Donato near Florence, working as a Shepard in the service of Prince Demedoff
I also have a passport paper for William his wife and 2 children to travel to Florence in 1851
Since then I have found that my Great Grandfather Arthur Harry Rowbottom lived in Bushey Herfordshire at 3 Windmill Street and my Grandfather William John Rowbottom was born at this address Dec 31, 1898. My Grandfather moved to Hamilton Ontario, Canada when he was a teenager and married Alice when he was about 25.
I don't know if we are connected to the earlier papers but we were contacted years ago by a Rowbottom in Tasmainia who says he is related to Anatole.
