Subject: As he dances, he mutters and fumbles in the coat pocket of his tux with one hand...

"Yes, everything's just fine. I wanted to...oh darn it!" Muttering, he scrambles and digs into the coat pocket with even more ferocity. His hair falls from it's carefully groomed standpoint to fall in a tell tale black swoop before his dark eyes. Suddenly, his fingers close on what he wants and he smiles happily, a funny gleam in his eyes.

"Gotcha!" With a grin, he gently pulls out a small threaded necklace, the chain almost sliver thin and made from gold and silver twined and braided. At the end swings a small star charm, glittering and twinkling with a faint blue incandescence. "Not much, but I wanted to give this to you." He unhooks the hasp and drapes the necklace around her neck, fastening it gently. "I've had it for a long time, but I never really thought about it. It reminds me of you, here." He whispers closely in her ear as he steps forward to dance again. "Merry early Christmas."

(*cough cough* Since this got archived I'm posting it again. Only because this is about as romantic and brave as Darey gets. Live it! Noodle! )
