I was asking mes cheres amies on another Board, including dear Sunshine :-D {{{{{Cyn}}}}}, if they could think of anyone we know who might have anything to do with, or any sound knowledge about, music or the music industry--and Cynaera brought up your name, KT. :-D

My situation is that I've been writing song lyrics, lately, and I'd like to find out more about what I might, potentially, *do* with them. LOL I've been a poet and prose writer for years, but this latest avenue for my writing has sort of sneaked up on me, from the sidelines. :-D I know many artists on the Isle, but not really anyone who's a professional musician or has any close ties to the various and varied careers in music. :-D I'm going to research things online and visit my local library, too, but it's always helpful to be able to talk to folks who, in this particular case, are actually successfully pursuing careers in music-related fields. Books and articles can't always relate the kind of direct experience, things to be aware of or to watch out for, and practical advice that friends and professionals are able to do. :-D

In RL, Cyn, one of the women from my writer's club has also contacted a local music teacher friend of hers for me (which was a very nice thing for her to do :-D)--someone who used to teach music in all the local schools around here; plays the guitar and teaches piano; sings in public; and does have connections in the local music scene. My writer's club friend gave me her friend's contact intel and phoned the music teacher on my behalf, so now I'm going to give the music teacher a call, after, too. :-D

Hugs,
Sanlin
