Hrm. I would suggest you check out areas you were interested in, see how things flow, read the posts, and decide if you would want to do that. Because you are new, I do not suggest you join too many characters...but I also suggest you spread what characters you do have,out and about. You may find it get's tedious playing three characters in the same setting and there are times when it can be hard to keep track of all your characters.
And as Lenore said, you should check out the other games! There is such a huge range of people and creatures to play.. you should check them all out before creating a whole bunch of characters in one game.

About the 'I' thing. -- well.. personally I think that is fairly important. If you notice something wrong with your own writing.. you should fix it. Every little thing will contribute to the making of a good post.
I would also suggest you capitalize the letters at the beginnings of your sentences.

Are you going to revise your message and put it here? Or will you be doing a new message? Whatever you like.. I'll look it over for you..
