Author: Deryk
Subject: "Hey there darlin'." He stated softly, looking down at the phone as he slouched comfortably. "What are you up to?" There had to be something wrong with him, some kind of ADD or something in his head that made him go so off the wall sometimes. He just couldn't focus on anything for any amount of time whatsoever and it was dealing with a five year old half the time. The plus part was, though, that on many occasions, he had the same sweet, eager to please disposition of a little boy.

  • (She hated the way her heart picked up and she smiled like a schoolgirl when she heard his voice.. it was sweet of him to call her when he was away. It made her feel like he cared about her- which she definitely hadn't felt that night at the club. She had pretty much summed that night up as being alcohol and ego related and pushed it away, since she wasn't looking for a physical relationship with a man.. but a friendship- and she had a feeling that Deryk was looking for the same thing. It was wrong of her to push for more from him just to make her feel better about her self image, when she wasnt even sure how she would handle any response that she got from him.) Hey, Deryk.. (She looked around at her mess of books and sighed.) I'll give you three guesses.. and two of them don't count. (She frowned at her image in the mirror on the opposite wall, she had no makeup on and was still in her pajamas.. she didn't feel attractive enough to be talking to him.)
