He reminded her with a bit of a growl - he wasn't a confrontational person, but he was also someone who didn't back down when he did happen to get stick in a disagreement. "She can't help him through this. What's she going to do? Hold his hand while he's in detox? It doesn't work like that." He stared rather coolly at her for a long moment and then just shook his head in frustration. "You just don't get it." She was from a small town in the boonies and he was from a whole other world - and normally that really didn't matter to either of them, except right now it just wasn't working out.
