Duke announced his arrival at the table before she noticed him, merely raising his head, letting a long whuff out and then putting his head back on his paws where it rested - he was acting as lazy as she was - feeding directly off of her mood. She had begun to think that she was never going to see him again - three months was long enough to find someone and move in with them, move on with your life.. She looked up at the familiar sound of his voice and couldn't help the broad smile that crossed her own face despite the gloom written on his - she was happy for herself - even if she couldn't make things out the way she wanted them to be, she got to see him at least. She rose, spilling some of the chai out of the mug as she hit the table with her hip but threw herself onto him, engaging him in the tightest hug she could humanly muster. "Hey you.. god, stranger." She completely ignored his almost hesitating, serious demeanor - not that he had ever behaved exceptionally carefree in the first place.
