Water continued to pour outside the pines for the remaining part of the afternoon. Stopping moments before sunset casting a soft pinkish glow over the terrain and all within it. From where Shade stood she peered out watching the others come out from hiding, returning to their daily life, grazing, breeding. Not much else. The odd mother and foal pair could be seen, however most chose to come out at night when the risk of being caught by a horomonal stallion was much less. She on the other hand worried not about rogue stallions for deep down she believed that even in his absense Carson continued to watch over them both and would never allow any harm to cross their path. Her strong belief and faith in this and this alone is what had kept her going these passing months, and what would continue to keep her going until her beloved returned to her. Passing the time she continued grooming her youth until he was completely dry and no longer trembling from the cold. It was then that her gaze shifted upwards to meet the shires, until that point she hadn't a clue he was standing there. Shaking her damp tangled mane out of her eyes she managed a soft smile. 'Hello'. At the time it seemed like a fairly good thing to say, she probably should have come up with something a little more clever but this would have to do for now.
