This is being discussed on another board (no, not THAT one. I don't go there for anything besides news these days.) Some folks think it was too bad the Commonwealth was mostly formed off-camera and that Dylan should have taken the job of Triumvir. So. . imagine the following scene:

INT. DAY. COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF SOME PLANET OR OTHER:

Councillor #1: We will now discuss paragraph six, subsection 27 of the Tariff clauses in the new Commonwealth charter. Pursuant to afforementioned discussions on export tariffs of items that were originally off-planet in origin. . .

Wow. Wouldn't THAT be exciting. Alternatively, we see:

INT. DAY. TRIUMVIR DYLAN HUNT'S OFFICE:

Dylan Hunt is sitting at a desk piled with paperwork or plastic sheets or whatever bureaucratic junk is written on these days. He is wearing a pair of reading glasses. His assistant is standing in front of the desk.

ASSISTANT #1: As per the off-plant of origin export tariffs on the planet Blah, a motion has been filed with District Six Court regarding an extension of the implementation of the tariff while appeals are filed on behalf of the Import Guild of Weird Plants From Other Planets. I have attached the decision of the judge in a similar case on Planet Orgh on an appeal filed by the Import Guild of Big Ugly Rocks From Other Planets in which the judge ruled that . . .

Even more thrilling. Yup, bring on those long, dull negotiation scenes, followed by some bureaucratic windbag quoting from some overwritten legislation. Too much action and too many fight scenes for your taste? Don't worry. In the new series, Andromeda the Administrator, there will be NO fight scenes and NO action. Just droning on and on and on and on and on and on and on . . .
