I must receive 15 emails a week disputing nitpickers that I've found valid, or just put up because someone pestered me long enough.
Last week, I received 2 lengthy emails debating each and every Nitpicker on the site. Obviously this person couldn't read the simple "These are in fun, if the <B><U>Writer</U></B> can explain, these will be removed" Notice.
So, yes I got a little angry and posted a whole notice. [This person also wanted me to expand the nits section to include his dissertations - in another colour]. He may not have realized there is only ONE person running this site, or not noticed the 500 pages plus of html, the thousands of graphics and screencaps, the fanfic submissions etc...
I have a husband, and 2 teenage kids to deal with, as well as being part of another community online which I participate a great deal in [not Andromeda related].
So while discussing this problem, someone said, why not put up a forum? I hmmm'd and realized that this would be the perfect venue. Then you could argue it out to your hearts content, and should you reach a valid point for or against [and I will read here], then I will go ahead and change it accordingly.
So, put your nitpicker in the title of your reply - and post why you think it should be added/removed, discuss them. Go for it.
It's either this or I think about removing that section, or keep it just to the nits I find.
