Back in first season we were told a lot of this by Ash or Zack, can't remember which - might have been both. But I think we'd pegged the date in Earth years a bit earlier, being the late 4700 AD or so, could have been if you put that as when Dylan fell into the Hephaestian Black Hole...

When I get more energy I'll check out the link, and hope to go and respond to Jenn's theory on IP as well [I haven't forgotten!] :)
