and at least the dems are not funding museums for tea pots or bridges that go no where. There was a surplus when bush took office however with every rep congress person adding pork to no end to the budget we now have the larges deficet in the country . The war has to be stopped before there can even be any balancing of the budget .Remember the dems did not start this war the decider did .PLus bush vetoes almost all legistature that comes across his desk . He only used the veto once when the rep were wildly spending our tax dollars on pork . And i am not so sure his veto was because of spending at that time . Lets face it your party got us in this hole but it will be up to the dems at some point to dig us out such as happened after reagan and bush before .
