Date Posted: 17:40:28 07/20/07 Fri In reply to: Duncan7 's message, "Re: Hmmm to bad you did not see fit to answer the question are you on a gov't funded ins program???nt" on 22:23:32 07/19/07 Thu and they are ahead in wages now due to the fact most workers wages with the exception of civil service have not had raises the past few years. Let me give you a couple examples. when the state of wa advertises for ferry workers the line is blocks long and some bring sleeping bags to spend the night to get in line first. The reason for this is not only are the wages great but the perks are great also . I have a cousin who is brilliant he taught at a prestigeous private college here in the nw. He quit and went to work for the state as the wages were better and the perks great. so do not give me the old dog and pony excuse is you got more perks because you took less wages. Oh another case in point other than hired mercenaries in iraq who do you know in private enterprise that makes 150 000 a year for being a security guard . some patrolmen in seattle make that much plus all the perks. wa state workers after a few years with sick leave, paid holidays , and paid vacations only work 9 1/2 months a year. However you cut it up you are getting health care paid for by the tax payer and it would behoove you not to be so against others getting it .I do not care that you get health care supported by tax payers but think the hypocrisy on your part is rotten .
