That is the stupidist tax there is. You already paid tax on the money you paid into SS. And most people retiring today will never get all the money they paid into SS back.
Write your Dum Congressman and Senators and complain about it. They are the ones that won't do anything about it. And they won't even index it so even low income people are paying it.
