( in my case being my own employer i paid all of it for many years ) It is fixed so lower income people pay no tax on their ss. You have to look at that full page worksheet and use a couple examples to see how it all turns out . I would guess well over 75 percent of the people do not pay taxes on their ss.I would bet no one who is living on ss by itself it paying any taxes on their ss its those of us who have other income plus ss who are paying .
