I can no longer travel by public conveyence so we go by car or not at all. I have to travel with heavy medical equipment . My least favorite wAy to travel was by plane. When we do travel by car ( we do not go as far any more old bad backs) we seldom travel the freeways we much prefer the secondary roads for both small villages traveled thru and slower travel . We have seen a lot more from the secondary roads and have met some really interesting people in various places . We used to hike and camp etc it was great while it lasted.
