Hello-I'm kid,77, loved horses all my life, hate w/saddles too-still raising horses-mostly reg.ASBs-also few reg Half Saddlebreds (including ponies).Don't know where u're located but could help u locate ASB studs if u were int.-thru ASHA member directory & reference bookss from all over. ASB foundation was 4 mile old Eng TB & breed carries great deal of TB blood. Tho my great love is 5 gaited, the breed can do anything, are natural jumpers & make wonderful dressage horses. Friend has reg.ASB that regularly beats TBs in E.Tenn.point to point races. Here in SC I& another friend are trying to save some rare bloodlines. My reg.Halfs include 2 from 3/4 Paso Fino ?1/4 QH pony &my old ASB s. lost in Apr.(age 27)-was 3 gens.my breeding.I've also his kids, grandkids,& a great granddau.Love them all.Your TWs are offshoot of ASBs. They all trace back to TBs,the Narragansett Pacers pf very early colonial days. I'd love to talk to u more-or u might ask in Haynet for American Saddle Horse,go to our registry page & find top item giving names & reg.numbers.Try top line of my old s-Mimosa's Copper Genius & u can trace all way back to Darley Arabian & Godolphin Barb-or go any other ASB name u wish>I'm so glad they've got it all on computer now.Have fun-& please do let me hear from u. Dorothy

Yeah, i agree, Saddlebreds are awesome horses! There's a liver chestnut ASB mare who competes at Intro level at the local dressage shows where I compete, and she's awesome! Very flashy, and something diferent from the everyday warmbloods. I like that! :0)
