It’s more that it’s hard to judge. Cheating will really only benefit the very top- maybe just the difference between top 10 vs top 5. And even then, there are so many measures in place that you’ll be able to see whether there is consistency among placements for these top dancers that believe it or not, they may just be… good. A dancer undeserving of their place because their teachers are making the selfish decision to ask for favors would probably just have a random high score here and there that at this point with dropping the high and low wouldn’t even make a difference.
