For those of you complaining about how the politics of Texas will affect you on your 3-day trip, they won’t. Most people in large urban centers (Dallas, Houston, Austin, etc.) vote Democrat- you have to venture way out into the country to see the confederate flag-bearing crazies. And you can find those in pretty much every southern state anyway. There is just… a lot of open country and that’s what adds up to elect a conservative government.

The fact that you can afford a trip for your child’s hobby is a PRIVILEGE. Chill.
